Late in June, Google launched Google+, a service focused on the social/sharing aspect of the web and an attempt to grab some of Facebook’s market which currently claims over 750 million users. Google+ launched by invitation only to a limited audience, but within 4 weeks the service acquired 25 million users, a far cry from Facebook’s numbers but certainly impressive considering its immaturity. LAND INTERACTIVE has soft-launched the website FederalHillProv.com, a site dedicated to businesses affiliated with the Federal Hill Commerce Association in Providence, Rhode Island. The site was built to attract tourists to the historic location as well as promote local businesses. LAND INTERACTIVE will begin a marketing campaign to make the site more visible among web searches. The new gTLD (Generic Top-Level Domains) program may change the way you go to a website – therefore devaluing the .com extension. This means companies, individuals, or whoever will be able to create and purchase their own extensions. An example would be Apple registering the .apple extension. Land Interactive was given the task of developing a unique brand for JustDeals.com, as daily deal E-commerce site which is currently in beta testing. The company wanted a high-end brand that stands out from other daily deal-style shopping websites, is memorable, non-generic, and functions within the parameters of the shopping cart template they used built on Joomla. Land Interactive was asked to develop a logo for Orange Coast OBGYN, a healthcare provider located in Fountain Valley, CA. The medical group wanted a contemporary and friendly logo that would appeal to women of all ages seeking obstetric care. We just launched a new website for Dr. Nathan Lavid — a psychiatrist and forensic specialist based in Long Beach, CA. Using the previous site’s existing copy, we were able to optimize each page by analyzing keywords and phrases specific to each page. The results were improvements in organic traffic results from Google, Yahoo, and Bing. We also updated the site’s look and feel to be more contemporary with a flare of social networking.
